Basic Mixing
In mixing a song, I will adjust the volume, panning, eq, saturation, compression and spatial effects of each track (or groups of tracks) to create a cohesive and finished sounding song. ​Mixing is a creative process, and the choices made during mixing can have a significant impact on the final sound of a piece of music. As such, music mixing is a highly skilled and specialised aspect of music production which requires the vision of the artist to guide the mixing engineer. Although I can produce a technically proficient mix in isolation, it is only with the creative direction of the artist that the song can truly reflect the original vision.

Vocal Pitch Correction
If required, I can tune the vocals using Melodyne or Autotune to either create a perfect vocal track or nudge the vocals into a more comfortable zone. Melodyne is the perfect tool for studio tuning as it enables fine control of all aspects of a vocal performance and even the very best singers benefit from some degree of vocal tuning. Whereas vocal tuning was once seen as a form of cheating, you won't find a commercial track nowadays that does not have some degree of vocal tuning.
Timing Correction
While all multi-mic tracks will be phase aligned, some of the tracks may benefit from time alignment, whether that be stacked vocals or getting instruments into the pocket. Even if you don't want everything to be perfectly "quantised to the grid", it's important to the groove and feel of a song that the tracks are time aligned in a pleasing fashion.
Audio Editing
For cleaning up pops, squeaks, mouth clicks, rumbles and all nature of unwanted noises which often find themselves in final recordings I can use the plethora of tools available to edit the audio and remove these unwanted audio artefacts.
